Marvel's Moon Knight: Future Appearances Confirmed, But No Season 2

While Marvel plans to bring Moon Knight back to the MCU, a second season of the Disney+ series is unlikely, according to Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum. Speaking with ComicBook, Winderbaum confirmed that Oscar Isaac's character will feature in future MCU projects, but not as a direct continuation of the show.

This shift stems from a change in strategy at Marvel Television. Initially, the studio focused on establishing characters through standalone series before integrating them into larger MCU narratives (like Ms. Marvel). However, Marvel Television is now adopting a more traditional television model, aiming for annual releases for its shows.

Winderbaum explained, "Moon Knight was part of a wave of shows designed to introduce characters for future tie-ins. Moving forward, our priorities have shifted. We're creating shows that function as standalone annual releases, more in line with traditional television. I'd love a Season 2, but there are other Moon Knight plans in the works."

While Isaac voiced Moon Knight in Marvel's What If…?, there's no current news regarding his live-action return.

The MCU's upcoming TV lineup includes Daredevil: Born Again (March), Ironheart (June), Eyes of Wakanda (August), Marvel Zombies (October), and Wonder Man (December).

Recently, Marvel Television reportedly paused production on Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. However, Winderbaum hinted at the possibility of a Defenders reunion, bringing together Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist.
