Following the success of the initial beta, Monster Hunter Wilds returns with a second round, allowing players to experience the game before its February 28th launch. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news in a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.

The second Open Beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th. Available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, this beta includes new content, such as the huntable Gypceros monster, a series veteran.

Character data from the first beta can be carried over and transferred to the full game, but progress won't be saved. Beta participants receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm, and a special bonus item pack to aid early game progression.

"Many players missed the first beta or wanted another chance," Tsujimoto explained. "The team is hard at work completing the full game." While a pre-launch community update video detailed planned improvements, these won't be included in this beta.

Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th, 2025. Happy hunting!
