Capcom has officially announced that the first major post-launch update for Monster Hunter Wilds, titled Update 1, will be released on Thursday, April 3, Pacific Time, and April 4, UK time. In a showcase video, Capcom not only confirmed the release date but also unveiled the exciting new features players can anticipate.

The highlight of Title Update 1 is the introduction of the Grand Hub, a new social space where players can engage with each other in innovative ways. This hub introduces a fun mini-game, Barrel Bowling, and offers nighttime entertainment with performances by the Diva.

Alongside the Grand Hub, players will encounter the formidable Mizutsune, a leviathan monster known for its dangerous bubbles, as part of Title Update 1. This update also introduces a Zoh Shia quest and promises the arrival of Arch-tempered Rey Dau through a future event quest.

Competitive players can look forward to Arena Quests, which will allow them to compete for the fastest completion times. Title Update 1 brings free content for all players, including classic gestures from the series. Additionally, Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 will be available alongside this update.

Capcom teased a collaboration with an unannounced Capcom game set to arrive in Monster Hunter Wilds at the end of May. A second title update is slated for the summer, with early glimpses of a new monster to keep fans eagerly awaiting.

While PC gamers were hoping for news on performance improvements following some concerns at launch, no updates on this were mentioned in the showcase.
