Medabot Survivors: Bullet-Hell Action for Medabots Fans, But Only in Japan (For Now)

Medabot Survivors, a new bullet-hell action game based on the popular robot role-playing series, has launched in Japan for iOS and Android devices on February 10th. For those unfamiliar, Medabots enjoyed a surge in popularity following Pokémon's success, though it never achieved the same global recognition in the West. However, in Japan, Medabots remains a significant franchise.

This latest entry, as reported by Gematsu, sees the series enter the popular "Survivors"-style genre. While games like this have existed for much longer than the breakout hit Vampire Survivors, Medabot Survivors' release highlights the genre's growing global appeal.
