How to Get & Use Master Strike in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Mar 14,25

Early melee combat in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* can be brutal. However, mastering the Master Strike significantly simplifies things. Here's how to learn and utilize this powerful move.

Learning the Master Strike in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The Master Strike isn't available from the start. After completing the tutorial and gaining access to the open world, locate Bara the beggar in Troskowitz. She'll point you towards Tomcat, initiating the "Combat Training" side quest.

Find Tomcat in the Nomads' Camp (near the Cumans' Camp and Bozhena's Hut). Completing "Combat Training I" is straightforward. However, "Combat Training II" presents a tougher challenge—a sword fight against Tomcat himself. Winning this duel unlocks the Master Strike. While attempting this early is possible, boosting your Strength stat beforehand is highly recommended. Saving your game before each attempt is crucial, as failure can leave Henry severely injured.

How to Use the Master Strike

The Master Strike is exclusive to swords. During combat, observe your opponent's weapon position and hold your sword on the opposite side. For example, if they attack from the left, hold your sword to the right.

As your opponent attacks, a green shield icon will appear centrally. Press the attack button at this precise moment to execute the Master Strike, parrying the attack and immediately countering with an unblockable strike. Remember, correct sword positioning is key.

This move is incredibly powerful, significantly simplifying most combat encounters in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
