Master Aiming Techniques for Triumph in Marvel Rivals

Dec 25,24

Many Marvel Rivals players have reported aim issues during Season 0 – Doom's Rise. While mastering the game's maps, heroes, and abilities is key, some find their aim feels imprecise. This guide offers a simple solution: disabling mouse acceleration and aim smoothing. This isn't cheating; it's simply adjusting a standard game setting.

This fix involves modifying a game file. Don't worry, it's safe and doesn't involve any mods or hacks. Game settings adjustments already update this file, so you're just changing one setting within it.

How to Disable Mouse Acceleration and Aim Smoothing

  1. Open the Run dialog (Windows key + R).
  2. Paste this path, replacing "YOURUSERNAMEHERE" with your Windows username: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Marvel\Saved\Config\Windows (If unsure of your username, go to This PC > Windows > Users).
  3. Press Enter. This opens the location of your save data.
  4. Right-click GameUserSettings and open it with Notepad (or a similar text editor).
  5. At the file's end, add these lines:
[/script/engine.inputsettings]
bEnableMouseSmoothing=False
bViewAccelerationEnabled=False
bDisableMouseAcceleration=False
RawMouseInputEnabled=1
  1. Save and close the file. You've now disabled mouse smoothing and acceleration, prioritizing raw mouse input for improved aim precision.
