Marvel's Wolverine: Updates on Hold

While Insomniac outlined their ambitious roadmap in a recent Variety interview, Co-Head Chad Dezern remained mum on Marvel's Wolverine. The team is focusing on current projects and isn't ready to reveal details about upcoming releases, including confirming or denying a 2025 release date for Wolverine. Dezern stated, "As much as we have pent-up excitement, we've got to hold on to it."

Marvel's Wolverine: Unveiled in 2021

In a 2023 interview with Kinda Funny, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Creative Director Bryan Intihar confirmed Wolverine's shared universe with Spider-Man, stating they're both set in "1048." While fans anticipated crossovers following the 2021 announcements, the only crossover element so far is a Wolverine-themed suit ("The Best There Is") for Miles Morales in Spider-Man 2.

A ransomware attack in December 2023 briefly exposed some of Marvel's Wolverine's development assets and gameplay footage.

Insomniac Games' Current Projects

As announced at New York Comic-Con 2025, Spider-Man 2 launches on PC January 30, 2025. Insomniac confirmed no further DLC is planned for Spider-Man 2, but the PC port will include all post-release updates, including new suits and New Game+. The PC release will offer Standard and Digital Deluxe editions, the latter featuring additional exclusive suits.
