The last major Baldur's Gate III patch entered the stress test stage

Baldur's Gate III's eighth and potentially final major patch is now undergoing stress testing. While some Sony console players received early access, those opting out are advised to reinstall the game.

Patch 8 introduces highly anticipated cross-platform play, uniting PC and console players. Players can invite friends across platforms provided they share a linked Larian account. Remarkably, modded gameplay is also supported in crossplay, provided all mods are compatible across PC, Mac, and consoles, and the host's game utilizes fewer than ten mods.

A significant multiplayer enhancement is the addition of split-screen co-op on the Xbox Series S, a feature previously unavailable on this console.

Further additions in Patch 8 include a robust photo mode with extensive customization and twelve new subclasses, expanding gameplay options. Bug fixes and balance adjustments are also included, although some issues persist. A comprehensive changelog is accessible on the game's official website.
