This upcoming installment transports players to the rich historical setting of Feudal Japan.

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Mackenyu will voice Gennojo in both Japanese and English, bringing to life a character that Ubisoft describes as integral to the storyline. Gennojo is tasked with aiding the protagonist in tracking and eliminating a significant target. Ubisoft paints Gennojo as a "charming, reckless, and deeply conflicted figure, driven by guilt to dismantle a corrupt system."
