The highly anticipated prequel to the acclaimed soulslike action RPG, Lies of P, titled Lies of P: Overture, was unveiled during Sony's State of Play 2025 broadcast. Scheduled for release in the summer of 2025, this DLC expansion will be available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. The gameplay trailer, which you can watch below, promises an immersive experience filled with new environments, challenging bosses, and intriguing narrative elements.

Lies of P, renowned for its innovative take on the Pinocchio fairy tale through a Bloodborne-style gameplay, earned an impressive 8/10 from IGN. We stated, "Lies of P might not branch out particularly far from its soulslike inspiration, but it plays the part extremely well." Now, Lies of P: Overture invites players to delve into the origins of the Puppet Frenzy, offering a deeper understanding of the events preceding the main game. Publisher Neowiz had previously teased the game’s first DLC and confirmed plans for a sequel. Lies of P achieved significant success, selling one million copies in less than a month after its launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PC via Steam, and Mac via the Mac App Store on September 18, 2023.
