These highly anticipated Legendary Pokémon will be available in raids, offering a chance to catch their shiny forms. The event also includes special in-game backgrounds inspired by the original Pokémon Black and White games.

The arrival of Black and White Kyurem has been highly anticipated by fans, following their surprise, albeit brief, appearance in Pokémon GO in 2023. Their absence from last year's events fueled speculation, but the wait is finally over!

Niantic's announcement confirms the duo's inclusion in the GO Tour: Unova event, perfectly themed around the Unova region. Trainers can participate in raids to encounter and capture both Black and White Kyurem, including their elusive shiny variants. The global event runs from 10 AM to 6 PM local time on March 1st and 2nd.

Fusion Frenzy: Kyurem's Transformative Power

Similar to last year's Necrozma fusion, Kyurem's forms can be fused with other Legendary Pokémon. Black Kyurem can fuse with Zekrom, requiring 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. White Kyurem fuses with Reshiram, demanding 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy. These fusions are reversible at no cost. The necessary Fusion Energy is earned by defeating Kyurem in raids.

These fused forms boast unique attacks: Black Kyurem learns Freeze Shock, while White Kyurem learns Ice Burn.

Exclusive Event Rewards: Snag Those Backgrounds!

Beyond the Legendary Pokémon, the GO Tour: Unova event offers special backgrounds themed after Pokémon Black and White. Successfully fusing Black Kyurem with Zekrom or White Kyurem with Reshiram unlocks one background each, with a bonus, unique background awarded for completing both fusions.
