How To Join the Baldur’s Gate 3 Stress Test & Try Crossplay
Baldur's Gate 3's highly anticipated crossplay feature is finally arriving with Patch 8! While a firm release date is yet to be announced, a Patch 8 Stress Test will give select players early access in January 2025. This test allows Larian Studios to identify and fix bugs before the wider launch.
When is Cross-Play Available?
The crossplay functionality will debut during the Patch 8 Stress Test in January 2025, followed by a full release sometime in 2025.
How to Participate in the Stress Test:
To join the Patch 8 Stress Test and experience crossplay early, register through Larian's Stress Test signup form. You'll need a Larian account. The registration process is quick and simple, requiring basic information like your preferred gaming platform (PC, PlayStation, or Xbox). Note that registration doesn't guarantee selection. Chosen participants will receive an email with further instructions. Feedback will be collected via feedback forms and Discord.
Important Considerations:
- The Stress Test will also assess the impact of Patch 8 on mods. Mod users are encouraged to participate.
- Crossplay functionality requires all players in your group to be part of the Stress Test. Otherwise, you'll need to wait for the official release.
