If you're a fan of Jenna Ortega, you might not remember her brief appearance in Iron Man 3. At just 11 years old, Ortega made her film debut in this 2013 blockbuster, playing the daughter of Vice President Rodriguez, portrayed by Miguel Ferrer. In a fleeting scene during a Christmas family event, Rodriguez kisses his daughter on the forehead, and the camera pans down to reveal Ortega in a wheelchair, a poignant moment in the film. This minor role, however, was significantly cut down, as Ortega herself humorously noted in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Reflecting on her experience, Ortega quipped, "I did it once. It was one of the first jobs I ever did. They took all my lines out. I’m in Iron Man 3 for a quick second. I take up the frame, I have one leg and I’m the vice president’s daughter." Her co-star in Death of a Unicorn, Paul Rudd, who plays Ant-Man in the MCU, playfully suggested that Marvel might create a bigger role for her in the future, saying, "And so it might very well be that you come back, that they are going to create something for you, ’cause they should be so lucky to have Jenna Ortega in their franchise."

Ortega, however, cast doubt on the possibility, adding, "They even took my name away. I’m really… but I just… I count that, and then I move on." Despite the minimal screen time, Ortega's role in Iron Man 3 is a testament to her early start in the industry, which has since seen her rise to fame with roles in Netflix's Wednesday and the upcoming Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

While Iron Man 3 may not be considered one of the strongest entries in the MCU, it was a massive commercial success, grossing over $1.2 billion worldwide and ranking as the ninth highest-grossing superhero film of all time. The landscape of superhero movies has evolved significantly since then, and if Ortega were to return to the MCU, her star power could potentially boost the franchise's box office performance.

The question remains: if Jenna Ortega were to return to the MCU, which character would she be a perfect fit for? With her rising popularity and versatile acting skills, the possibilities are intriguing.
