Infinity Nikki Version 1.5 Controversy: Compensation and Developer Plans

Infinity Nikki's version 1.5 release has stirred controversy among its fanbase, prompting developer Infold Games to offer compensation for the game's numerous issues. This article delves into what players can expect to receive and the steps Infold Games is taking to address the situation.

Infinity Nikki Version 1.5 Updates

Free Diamonds as Compensation

The much-anticipated version 1.5 of Infinity Nikki promised significant updates, but fell short of expectations, leading to widespread disappointment. On May 18, Infold Games took to Twitter (X) to acknowledge the "unstable game environment and unsatisfactory content" and announced compensatory measures.

The update introduced various technical issues and bugs across multiple platforms, making the game unplayable for some users. Additionally, the cost of 5-star outfits was increased from 9 or 10 pieces to 11, requiring up to 220 pulls to complete a set, which significantly raised the time and resources needed. A new dye system was also implemented, which players found cumbersome due to the need to unlock color palettes for each item. The Threads of Reunion storyline was removed as the associated outfit remains in development.

In response to player feedback, Infold Games stated, "As compensation for Version 1.5's shortcomings and schedule changes, all stylists will receive Diamond *120 and Energy Crystal *1 every day from June 5 to June 12, totaling Diamond *960 and Energy Crystal *8." Despite the compensation, the studio has not yet outlined specific plans to address these issues, leaving fans concerned about the pity system, dye system, and other bugs.

Delayed Version 1.6

Due to the problematic release of version 1.5, Infold Games has decided to extend its duration, pushing back the release of version 1.6 to June 12, 2025. This delay also affects the schedule of in-game events, including the new weekly task Starlit Pursuit, which was originally set for May 20 but will now debut in version 1.6. Infold Games aims to refine the task mechanics for a smoother experience and promises more details soon. Players will receive 360 Starlit Crystals as compensation for this delay.

More Unlisted Adjustments On The Way

Infold Games is actively working on resolving the myriad issues introduced in version 1.5. They have hinted at "unlisted adjustments under discussion," which may require extended development cycles. These changes will be implemented through phased updates.

To improve communication with the community, Infold Games is launching the Miraland Round Table initiative, where players can directly share their concerns and feedback. This can be done by emailing the game’s official email account with "Table Advisor" in the subject line or through the in-game Customer Service option.

Infold Games expressed both guilt over delayed promises and gratitude for the continued support from their community. They are committed to making Infinity Nikki "shine brighter than ever." The game is available on PlayStation 5, iOS, Android, and PC. For the latest updates, stay tuned to our coverage.
