The Lion King ride, set to debut at Disneyland Paris, has unveiled new exciting images, detailed plans, and a construction start date scheduled for Fall 2025. According to the Disney Parks Blog, this will be the first-ever land and attraction dedicated to The Lion King, becoming a major highlight of the revamped Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be renamed Disney Adventure World. This new water ride will immerse guests in the iconic moments of the 1994 classic film, while the land itself will boast a towering 120-foot-high Pride Rock and offer a plethora of dining, shopping, and character meet-and-greet experiences.

This is just one of the many scenes guests will experience, culminating in an exhilarating 52-foot drop, which is just two inches taller than the drop on Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

While an exact opening date for The Lion King ride hasn't been announced, it is set to open following the grand opening of World of Frozen in 2026. This ride will be a key component of the expanded Disney Adventure World, which will double the current park's footprint.

In addition to World of Frozen and The Lion King ride, Disney Adventure World will also feature the previously announced Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, with Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel. Another exciting addition will be the first-ever attraction themed around the movie Up, designed as a "spinning carousel" that will provide guests with a "bird's eye view of the park's stunning scenery."

It will serve as a new park entrance designed to mimic a "glamorous premiere in the heart of Hollywood." Adjacent to this, World Premiere Plaza will draw inspiration from Broadway and the West End, featuring theaters with shows like TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation.
