Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered: How To Get Effects Of Two Outfits Simultaneously

Mastering the Two-Outfit Method in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, while focused on action, offers extensive weapon and outfit customization. This guide details how to combine the effects of multiple outfits, a powerful technique with some limitations.

Remastered Version Required

The ability to utilize two outfits simultaneously is exclusive to Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. A recent patch introduced transmog, allowing you to maintain the stats and effects of one outfit while visually wearing another.

Outfit Requirements

This method isn't universal. One outfit can be your choice, but the second must be one of these three Banuk Werak outfits from the Frozen Wilds DLC:

  • Banuk Werak Runner
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (New Game Plus only)

Note: Access to the Frozen Wilds is not contingent on completing the main game.

Obtaining Banuk Werak Outfits

Banuk Werak Runner

Reach the Frozen Wilds, defeat the initial machine (adjust difficulty if needed), and purchase the outfit from any Bluegleam Merchant (blue merchant icon).

Resource Normal Cost Ultra Hard Cost
Metal Shards 1000 5000
Desert Glass 10 20
Slagshine Glass 10 20

Banuk Werak Chieftain & Chieftain Adept

Complete the "For the Werak" quest (Frozen Wilds' third main quest). Consider lowering difficulty if needed. The Adept version is obtainable only in New Game Plus.

Combining Outfit Effects

Equip your desired outfit (enhance stats with Weaves if desired). Then, use the transmog feature to change the appearance to one of the three Banuk Werak outfits.

This combines your chosen outfit's stats with the auto-healing effect of the Banuk Werak outfit. The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept offer significantly faster healing than the Runner. Combining this with an outfit like the Shield-Weaver makes Aloy virtually unstoppable.
