Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announces Hideaki Nishino as its sole CEO, effective April 1, 2025. This follows a recent press release also detailing the promotion of Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki to President and CEO of Sony Corporation, replacing Kenichiro Yoshida. Lin Tao, SVP of finance, corporate development, and strategy, assumes the CFO role.

Last year, SIE leadership was divided between Nishino and Hermen Hulst following Jim Ryan's retirement. Hulst retained his position as head of PlayStation Studios, while Nishino oversaw hardware and technology. This new structure places Nishino at the helm of all SIE operations, including the platform business group, with Hulst continuing to lead PlayStation Studios.

Nishino, a Sony employee since 2000, previously served as SVP of the platform experience group. In a statement, he expressed his honor at assuming the CEO position, emphasizing SIE's commitment to technological innovation and creative experiences, and thanked Hermen Hulst for his continued leadership. He also acknowledged the PlayStation community's ongoing support.
