Games Radar reports on the discovery, noting the significant interest surrounding Cavill's audition. Many, including Casino Royale director Martin Campbell, believe Cavill would have been a superb Bond, with Campbell describing the audition as "tremendous." While Campbell favored Cavill, the final decision went to Daniel Craig due to the preferences of other executives.
