The much-anticipated PC release of Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced, Rockstar's next-generation iteration of the iconic open-world game, is now available. This updated version offers significant graphical enhancements and introduces new features such as full DualSense controller support, providing an enriched experience for PC gamers.

Notable improvements include ray-traced reflections, revamped vehicle designs, and numerous smaller tweaks that enhance the overall visual quality. The popular YouTube channel GameV has released a side-by-side comparison, demonstrating how the graphics have evolved over the last 12 years since the original release. The improvements are most striking during rainy nights or in shadowy areas, where advanced global illumination and ray-traced reflections really stand out. However, in sunny conditions, the differences between the base game and the enhanced version are less noticeable.

Despite a strong launch that saw over 187,000 concurrent players on Steam, surpassing the recent peak of 184,000 for the standard edition, the reception has been mixed. Currently, the game holds a 56% positive review rating on Steam. Many players have questioned the need for this update, citing the relatively minor visual enhancements. There have also been complaints about issues with DualSense functionality and glitches associated with transferring characters from the original GTA Online. While some players have reported successful transfers, others are still encountering persistent bugs.
