Genshin Impact's highly anticipated 5.5 update is bringing two exciting new characters to the roster! While leaks had already hinted at their arrival, miHoYo (HoYoverse) has now officially unveiled Varesa and Iansan.

Varesa, a 5-star Electro Catalyst user, is described as a carefree adventurer with a hidden depth. Her playful exterior belies a formidable fighting spirit, transforming her into an unstoppable force when battling Abyss monsters.

According to her mentor, Iansan: "Varesa, my most peculiar student… No one matches her easygoing, carefree nature. No matter where she travels, she’s like a child on an adventure—always searching for delicious treats or a cozy spot to rest... But beware! If you ever fight Abyss monsters with her, the moment she gets into the zone, she turns into an unstoppable force!"

Joining Varesa is Iansan, a 4-star Electro Polearm user, who transitions from a beloved NPC to a playable character. Known as Natlan's top trainer, Iansan is a skilled instructor capable of guiding players of all skill levels.
