Sony has officially pulled the curtain back on the three games that PlayStation Plus subscribers will get to claim beginning July 2, as well as a bonus freebie coming on July 16. Every month, PlayStation Plus subscribers are treated to a fresh batch of free games to claim. Most of the time, the free games are announced on the last Wednesday of the preceding month, a pattern that holds true for the July 2024 freebies.

June was a particularly busy month for PlayStation Plus. Not only were subscribers able to claim the usual batch of monthly free games for June 2024, but those on the higher tiers of the service were also treated to bonus games. Sony celebrated its Days of Play promotion by giving Extra and Premium tier subscribers access to extra games outside the ones added in the typical mid-month update. Now the offerings for next month are taking shape.

As confirmed by Sony, the free PlayStation Plus games for July 2024 are Borderlands 3, NHL 24, and Among Us. Borderlands 3 is easily the headliner of the bunch, offering a massive co-op looter shooter experience that fans can expand even further if they decide to buy its various post-launch expansions. NHL 24 is the latest installment in the long-running hockey game series, and Among Us is the viral multiplayer social deduction game that took the world by storm during the COVID-19 pandemic. All three games will be available for PS Plus subscribers to claim starting July 2. PS Plus subscribers can also claim free content for Genshin Impact, but those rewards won't be available until July 16.

What's more, all three of the free PS Plus games for July 2024 are available on both PS4 and PS5. There are times when PS4 gamers miss out on PS Plus freebies, but that won't be the case for the July 2024 offerings. This way, all PlayStation gamers have the chance to check out the free PS Plus titles, regardless if they've upgraded to Sony's newest console or not.

In the meantime, PlayStation Plus subscribers should be sure to claim the June 2024 free games while they still can. As a refresher, the free PS Plus games for June 2024 are SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, AEW Fight Forever, and Streets of Rage 4.
