The Getaway, a thrilling limited-time mode from *Fortnite*'s Chapter 1 Season 5, has made a triumphant return in Chapter 6 Season 2. This guide explains how to play and how long it'll last.
Playing The Getaway in *Fortnite*
Jumping into The Getaway is easy. Launch Fortnite, head to the Lobby, and select "Discover." Find The Getaway and hit "Play" to join the queue. Alternatively, use the search bar in the top-left corner of the Lobby and type "The Getaway."
What Is The Getaway?
The Getaway is a high-stakes heist mode. Teams race to locate a jewel, then escape with it in a Getaway Van. It's pure PvP action, with teams competing to be the first three to successfully steal and escape with a jewel. Eliminating opposing teams is also a viable path to victory. This time around, enjoy The Getaway in Zero Build mode (perfect for those who prefer less building), and choose your preferred team size: Duos, Squads, or play in Unranked or Ranked matches.
The Getaway Start and End Dates
The Getaway is currently live in Fortnite, but it's a limited-time offering. The mode will disappear on April 1st at 12:00 AM Eastern Time. Don't miss out! Playing The Getaway earns you valuable XP towards your Battle Pass progression.
