Notably, Finn Jones, who portrayed Iron Fist, has expressed his eagerness to return to the role. In a recent statement, Jones declared, "I’m here and I’m ready," signaling his willingness to reprise Danny Rand, a character he last played seven years ago in Season 2 of the Iron Fist series and in The Defenders, where he teamed up with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).

Despite the mixed reception to Jones' portrayal of Iron Fist, the character's inclusion in future MCU projects remains uncertain. Fans have been more critical of Iron Fist compared to the other Defenders, raising questions about whether Marvel will bring him back. However, the successful reintegration of Daredevil into the MCU has reignited hope for a revival of The Defenders. Recent reports suggest that Marvel is "exploring" the idea, further fueling speculation.

At LaConve, an anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, Jones addressed the criticism head-on, acknowledging the fans' mixed feelings about his portrayal. He stated, "There is a willingness for the fans to see that happen. There’s a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f***ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

The Netflix series featuring The Defenders, including Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, have now been officially recognized as part of the MCU canon, available alongside other MCU content on Disney+. This integration extends to Jon Bernthal's Punisher, who also appears in the upcoming series, Daredevil: Born Again, a direct continuation of the Netflix Daredevil storyline.
