During the event, catching enough Karrablast and Shelmet will allow you to evolve them into Escavalier and Accelgor, respectively. These evolutions come with exclusive charged attacks: Escavalier will learn Razor Shell, which packs a punch with 35 power in Trainer Battles and 55 in gyms and raids, while Accelgor gains the powerful Energy Ball with 90 power across all battles.

For just $2 or the equivalent in your local currency, you can purchase a Community Day Special Research ticket. This ticket not only offers encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet against a Dual Destiny-themed Special Background but also includes additional encounters, a Premium Battle Pass, and Rare Candy XL, enhancing your event experience.

Even without the ticket, there's a free Timed Research quest available for those who log in during the event.
