April is packed with thrilling updates in *Marvel Contest of Champions*, including the introduction of the new champion, Spider-Woman. Alongside her, another intriguing champion with a starkly different flair, Lumatrix, will also join the fray.

The Backstory of Spider-Woman in Marvel Contest of Champions

Spider-Woman, known as Jessica Drew, was exposed to uranium as a child, leading to a severe illness. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her by injecting her with a mixture of spider DNA. After a long recovery, Jessica emerged not only healed but endowed with extraordinary spider powers, transforming her into Spider-Woman. You can add this new champion to your roster in MCOC starting April 17th.

Before Spider-Woman's arrival, Lumatrix will make his entrance on April 9th. Designed by the Founders as one of their most lethal assassins, Lumatrix is equipped with dazzling light powers, making him a formidable infiltrator and eliminator.

What Else Is New?

On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," unfolds with Carina suffering severe injuries after clashing with Ouroborus' forces. Doctor Doom collaborates with the Fantastic Four amidst the spread of Chronoserpent corruption, and a new villain, Lotan, emerges.

A new Event Quest, "Spy Games," launches on April 9th and runs until May 7th. Black Widow investigates the enigmatic Eidols and enlists Spider-Woman's help to unravel the mystery.

Dark Phoenix returns in the Side Quest with "Dark Bounties," placing bounties on various Champions. Players must track them down to claim their rewards.

The "Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector" is back, challenging players to assemble their strongest Saga champions to earn Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
