Marmalade Game Studios' hit digital card game Exploding Kittens 2 is getting into the festive spirit as it debuts the new Santa Claws expansion pack. Featuring plenty of new holiday-themed additions including cosmetics and more, it's sure to deliver plenty of festive cheer.

Don't expect too many massive updates here, but if you're looking to add a bit of Christmas cheer to your matches, this is the pack for you. It includes a new Under the Tree location (because we all know cats + trees = trouble) with animated assets. You'll also be able to look super-snazzy in the new Snow Globe or Wrapped Up outfits.

And, naturally, you can always decorate your card backs with the new Santa Claws cover, or use themed emojis during your matches to communicate. While the Santa Claws pack may be an additional purchase, you could do far worse for adding Christmas cheer.

Exploding Kittens is interesting to me because it's very much got that fast-paced, frenetic party vibe. I mean what else can you say about a PvP card battler where the objective is simply not to have your kitten explode? It's certainly a little bit more quirky than say, something like Uno.

At the same time, I'm sure the Santa Claws pack may be a bit divisive. Then again I know people who play Yu-Gi-Oh, and the amount they spend on cardbacks is genuinely frightening, so maybe the Exploding Kittens fanatics reading these are drawn in by these additions?
