Escape Academy is the Epic Games Store's free game offering for January 16th, 2025. This escape-room style puzzle game is the fourth free title offered by EGS this year and boasts the highest OpenCritic rating of any EGS freebie in 2025 so far.

Epic Games Store users have a week to claim Escape Academy, starting Thursday, January 16th, following the end of Turmoil's free period. The game, developed by Coin Crew Games, challenges players to train as "escape room masters" within the Academy setting. Originally released in July 2022 for PC and consoles, it's now available for free on the EGS until January 23rd.

A Previous EGS Freebie, But Now with a Full Week's Availability

Escape Academy was previously offered for free on the EGS on January 1st, 2024, as a mystery game. This time, however, players get a full week to claim the title. This is particularly beneficial for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as Escape Academy is leaving the service on January 15th after an 18-month run.
