Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test: Sign-Ups Begin January 10th

The highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign network test opens for registration on January 10th, 2025. This initial beta will, however, be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is a cooperative Soulsborne experience set in The Lands Between, designed for three-player parties. Targeting a 2025 release, the network test provides a crucial pre-launch opportunity for FromSoftware and Bandai Namco to assess online functionality.

While the exact number of participants remains undisclosed, registration opens this Friday, January 10th, via the official Elden Ring Nightreign website. Those selected will receive confirmation emails no later than February 2025, the month the test is scheduled to run. Specific dates will be announced soon.

How to Register for the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test:

1. Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website starting January 10th.
2. Complete the registration form, specifying your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
3. Await confirmation of your participation via email.
4. Join the network test in February 2025.

Platform Limitations and Other Details:

This beta's exclusivity to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is noteworthy, representing less than half of the game's planned platforms (also including PS4, Xbox One, and PC). Cross-platform play is not supported, meaning players will only be matched with others on the same console family.

Progress made during the network test is unlikely to transfer to the full game. Future betas are possible, though unconfirmed.

Elden Ring Nightreign's online functionality is further limited by its party size restriction: solo play or three-player parties only; two-player parties are not supported. Whether the network test will include additional gameplay limitations remains to be seen.
