Dune: Awakening hasn't officially launched yet, but it's already smashed Steam records with nearly 100,000 concurrent players.

Steam data shows Dune: Awakening reached a peak of 93,634 simultaneous players on June 5, despite only being available to "head start" players who purchased either the $69.99 Deluxe Edition or $89.99 Ultimate Edition. The full release arrives June 10, 2025 for all other players.

While concurrent player counts don't tell the whole story - especially since console players on PS5 and Xbox Series will join later - it's still an impressive starting point for a prerelease title.

Given that gaming activity typically peaks on weekends, Dune: Awakening might climb even higher in Steam's rankings before its official launch. Currently sitting at #195 among Steam's all-time concurrent peaks, this performance is remarkable for an unreleased game.
