Celebrate Like a Dragon's 20th Anniversary with RGG Studio's Merchandise Voting!

Ryu Ga Gotoku (RGG) Studio is giving fans a chance to shape the commemoration of the Like a Dragon (LAD) franchise's 20th anniversary, arriving in December 2025. A unique fan voting project allows players to select their favorite in-game items to be transformed into official merchandise.

From February 8th to March 21st, 2025, fans can cast their vote daily from a selection of 100 items, including a diverse range of memorabilia – from lingerie and incense to mahjong tiles, karaoke microphones, and even Kiryu's iconic dragon mask. The winning item is guaranteed to be produced and released within two years. Following the voting phase, a survey will determine the final design.

Potential for More Yakuza Remakes?

RGG Studio hinted at broader 20th-anniversary plans in a December 8th, 2024, tweet, commemorating their 19th anniversary. Director and Executive Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama expressed gratitude to fans and promised various events and announcements leading up to the milestone. The merchandise voting is just the beginning. Given the remakes released during the 10th anniversary (Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami), fans anticipate significant announcements for the 20th.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii PC Requirements

RGG Studio revealed the PC requirements for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on February 10th, 2025. The recommended graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent, suggesting accessibility for most gaming PCs. Compatibility with PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam Deck is also confirmed. A story trailer featuring Majima's high-seas adventure, narrated by Samoa Joe as Pirate King Raymond Law, was recently released on YouTube.
