Power Charges are a crucial element for creating powerful builds in Path of Exile 2. Their functionality differs slightly from previous iterations, making understanding their generation and utilization essential for both veterans and newcomers. Most classes can leverage Power Charges, though some find it easier than others.

What are Power Charges?

Power Charges act as modifiers for specific skills or effects. They are inactive on their own but enhance abilities like Falling Thunder upon consumption. While not mandatory for most builds, they are fundamental to certain strategies, such as the Tempest Flurry Invoker build. They function similarly to Frenzy and Endurance Charges – inherently passive until a consuming skill is used. Items and other effects may also interact with Power Charges in unique ways.
