Halloween's over, but the Diablo 4 witching season is just beginning! This comprehensive guide will help you rapidly ascend in Season 7.

Acquire Your Pet

Upon launching Diablo 4 Season 7, immediately visit the nearest town's Wardrobe. Claim your pet! While combat-ineffective, your pet efficiently gathers gold and materials, freeing you to focus on combat and loot acquisition.

Recruit Your Mercenaries

Vessel of Hatred expansion owners should visit the Den and recruit Mercenaries. Solo players can utilize two, significantly easing leveling and combat. Cultivate Rapport for additional rewards.

Conquer the Seasonal Questline

Begin on Normal difficulty and diligently follow the Season 7 questline (green leaf icons). This introduces new mechanics, including Headhunt zones, Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, and Witch powers. While relatively short, puzzles and Headhunt Favor farming are key to leveling to 60. Repeatedly defeating Headhunt zone bosses and collecting Favors is the most efficient leveling strategy.

Unlock Class Power

Previously completed class-specific priority quests are now transferable. Simply log in with a pre-existing character (on the Eternal realm) who has completed these quests, then log in with your new Season 7 character to automatically unlock your class power upon reaching the required level.

Dominate Headhunt Zones

Focus on completing Whispers within Headhunt zones. Prioritize smaller zones for increased enemy density and faster mob farming. Prioritize these Whisper quests:

• Fugitive Shepherd: Escort animals.
• Fugitive: Defeat Elites, interact with roots to recover a head or destroy a husk.

Exchange 10 Grim Favors for a cache at the Tree of Whispers, or utilize the Raven of the Tree found in each Headhunt zone.

Master Witchcraft Powers

Purchase and upgrade Witchcraft powers at the Tree of Whispers using Restless Rot (obtained by killing Rot enemies). Prioritize damage-boosting powers. Forgotten Altars (found in dungeons, Nightmare Dungeons, Pits, and Rootholds at Torment 1 or higher, or boosted by Draughts of Whispers) offer unique Witch powers.

Conquer Rootholds

Access Rootholds using Whispering Wood (obtained from Whispers and Silent Chests). These rogue-lite dungeons offer negative modifiers impacting loot quality. Save keys for Torment 1 for optimal Ancestral loot.

Utilize Occult Gems

Craft Occult Gems (from Gelena at the Tree of Whispers) using Restless Rot and Heads (dropped by Roothold bosses and Fugitives; Draughts of Whispers increase Head drop rates). Focus on these in the late game.

Tackle Pits, Infernal Hordes, and Nightmare Dungeons
