Relic Entertainment's acclaimed real-time strategy (RTS) game, Company of Heroes, now boasts a highly anticipated multiplayer mode, thanks to Feral Interactive's port. A recent iOS beta introduces the much-requested skirmish mode, letting players engage in intense WWII battles. Choose from factions inspired by the historical militaries of World War II and test your strategic prowess.

While Relic Entertainment is known for the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War series, many fondly remember the original Company of Heroes for its blend of realistic warfare and accessible RTS gameplay. Its mobile release initially lacked multiplayer, a significant omission now rectified.

The iOS version of Company of Heroes now features an online skirmish mode beta. Players can battle as the Americans and Germans, or utilize the UK and Panzer Elite factions from the Opposing Fronts expansion.

Company of Heroes masterfully balances realistic combat with engaging RTS mechanics. Superior units don't guarantee victory; tactical errors can quickly decimate your forces. A poorly positioned infantry squad or exposed tank can swiftly lead to defeat.

Many RTS players, myself included, preferred facing AI opponents due to the skill level of some human players. For those who missed this essential feature in the polished iOS version, the addition of online skirmish mode is a significant improvement.
