Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Post-Launch Updates
Bug Fixes and Localization Improvements
Sandfall Interactive has released the first update for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, as detailed in a Steam blog post dated April 30. Hotfix 1.2.2 tackles critical in-game issues, including a soft-lock that occurs when stunning the Grown Bourgeon, alongside other soft-lock problems on the world map. Additionally, the update brings enhanced localization for French, German, and Chinese languages, ensuring a smoother experience for players worldwide.
The developers are committed to ongoing improvements and have promised to share more details soon. While these updates are crucial, the community eagerly anticipates more significant content, such as potential DLC. The game's lead writer recently hinted at the possibility of DLC on Instagram, citing the game's success as a promising factor.
Expedition 33 Director Recommends Another RPG Which Was Released on the Same Day
In an exciting cross-promotion, Sandfall Games' Creative Director Guillaume Broche took to Expedition 33’s Twitter (X) on April 30 to recommend another RPG that launched simultaneously: The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy. Broche encouraged fans, saying, "After your Expedition, check out The Hundred Line, another great turn-based RPG that was also released last week, and made with love by an awesome team."
This mutual appreciation came after The Hundred Line’s co-director Kazutaka Kodaka praised Expedition 33 on Twitter (X) on April 28, urging fans to experience both games. He tweeted, "Even after you finish Expedition 33, this Japanese cult game will still be here, waiting for you!" Kodaka's series of posts not only highlighted the quality of Expedition 33 but also celebrated the release of both RPGs.
Despite the competitive launch week, which saw the release of other notable RPGs like Expedition 33 and Oblivion Remastered, The Hundred Line has received "Very Positive" reviews on Steam. Meanwhile, Expedition 33 has set a new benchmark as the highest-rated game of 2025, achieving over 1 million sales within just three days of its release.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For the latest updates and more information about the game, be sure to check out our article below!
