Call of Duty Glitch Reveals Camo Exploit

Feb 21,25

A newly discovered Warzone glitch allows players to equip Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) camos on Black Ops 6 (BO6) weapons. This workaround, detailed by Twitter user BSPGamin and highlighted by Dexerto, is considered a non-official method and is therefore subject to removal in future updates.

This exploit requires a second player. The process begins in a private Warzone match. Player one equips a BO6 weapon in their first loadout slot and joins a friend's lobby. Then, player one equips an MW3 weapon in the first loadout slot and rapidly selects the desired camo. Simultaneously, the host switches to a private match. Player two then leaves the private match. Player one repeats the camo selection process while player two rejoins the private match. If successful, the MW3 camo will now be applied to the BO6 weapon.

Many players see this as a desirable feature, as the meta weapons in Warzone currently originate from BO6, rendering MW3 camos largely unused. The grind for mastery camos in BO6, while rewarding, is a significant time investment. This glitch offers a shortcut for those who've already earned these camos in MW3.

While this glitch provides a temporary solution, Treyarch Studios has confirmed they are working on implementing a challenge tracking feature for BO6, similar to that in MW3, addressing player feedback on the lack of this feature in the latest title. This upcoming update should improve the BO6 camo unlock experience for players.
