Unlocking the Lion's Crest Bonus Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

This guide details how to initiate and complete the bonus quest, "The Lion's Crest," available to players who pre-ordered Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This quest rewards players with valuable items.

Starting the Quest:

Once you've finished the tutorial and gained access to the open world, locate the scribe Gaibl in Troskowitz. He will provide you with a riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick's polearm. You'll need to gather the necessary materials yourself, but crafting can be done at the blacksmith's forge.

Solving the Riddle:

The riddle reads:

"Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still."

To solve it:

1. Exit Trosky Castle through the northern gates (passing the Crone and Maiden towers).
2. Head north, through the forest.
3. Look for rocky formations with crevices on the left side of the path. These lead to a cave containing a chapel.
4. Examine the cross near the rock to find the first piece of Brunswick's armor and two treasure maps.

Locating the Treasure Maps:

The maps lead to the remaining pieces of Brunswick's armor:

Map 1: Follow the road west from the chapel to a crossroads. Head north into the woods to a wolf den; the armor is in a bag near the trees above the den.

Map 2: Travel to the Vidlak Pond outpost. Behind the fisherman's house, find a large rock formation along the cliffs. A chest containing armor is near a cross atop the rocks.

Map 3: Fast travel to Zhelejov. Leave the tavern and cross two bridges towards Tachov. Take a small path to the river and forest after the second bridge. Follow it to a hill; the armor is in a bag near a large tree at the hilltop.

Map 4: Travel to the hill between the Nomads’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. Find rocks with a cross; the final armor piece is there.

Completion:
