Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Square Enix has re-launched its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for a limited time. This campaign runs until February 6th, 2025, offering eligible players four consecutive days of free gameplay across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

The campaign commenced on January 9th, 2025, and the four-day timer begins the moment a player logs in via the game launcher. Eligibility requires a previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign's start. Accounts suspended or cancelled due to Terms of Service violations are not eligible. Players can verify their eligibility through the Mog Station.

This generous offer arrives hot on the heels of Patch 7.15, which introduced new side quests, including the return of the Hildibrand adventures and a new Custom Delivery client within the Dawntrail expansion. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's recent New Year's message confirmed upcoming Patches 7.2 and 7.3 for 2025, along with smaller updates, and hinted at future directions for the Dawntrail storyline.

While major content updates are still on the horizon, this Free Login Campaign provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to catch up on the Dawntrail storyline and participate in the ongoing Heavensturn event (until January 16th), which awards a special minion. Patch 7.16, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest series, is also slated for release on January 21st. The mystery surrounding the future of Dawntrail continues to build anticipation for future updates.
