Any weapon type can be effective, though the Bow and Charge Blade might be slightly less efficient due to the Chatacabra's smaller size and the multi-hit nature of some attacks being more effective on larger targets.

Most attacks involve its tongue, making the front a dangerous area. Besides its licking attack, it slams its front limbs into the ground after a noticeable rearing-up animation. The only significant attack from a distance is a tongue sweep after raising its head.
