New Game Plus?

Many RPG fans relish replaying the main quest on higher difficulties with acquired skills and gear. Unfortunately, Avowed currently lacks a New Game Plus mode at launch. While its absence is noted by players, Obsidian may add it later via an update or DLC.

Even without New Game Plus, replayability exists. Significant story and gameplay choices create diverse endings and character builds, warranting a fresh playthrough.

Endgame Content?

Avowed features four main regions, a secret final area, and a revisit to a major city (details withheld to avoid spoilers). High-level Legendary Quality Weapons and Gear are crucial for navigating these challenging final areas. However, progress doesn't carry over to earlier regions, and no new areas unlock post-game. This limits post-completion exploration of the Living Lands and the impact of player choices.

Post-Game Activities:

Avowed's post-game content is limited. Completion triggers several minutes of cutscenes detailing the consequences of your choices. Afterwards, you return to the main menu.

Options include starting a new game or reloading a previous save. Autosaves from before the point of no return and the final encounter are accessible. This enables replaying these sections with altered choices for different story outcomes.

Reloading to a point before the point of no return allows revisiting earlier regions. This is ideal for map completion, achievement hunting, side quests, and collecting missed items. Enemies in these earlier areas remain at their original levels, making it significantly easier with high-level equipment.
