Battlefield 6 Servers Ready for Launch, Says Producer

Oct 25,25

Battlefield 6 servers are fully prepared for Friday's launch, confirmed one of the game's developers.

DICE's lead producer David Sirland responded to an X/Twitter query about server readiness with an assured "should be!"

"We've planned thoroughly for [server preparedness]," Sirland stated, "and the open beta also helped us measure player engagement."

He's correct about the beta's role—Battlefield 6 shattered series records with 521,079 concurrent Steam players at peak, creating extended queue times during August's open beta. Whether the full release maintains this momentum is uncertain, but Friday will provide the answer.

Battlefield 6 launches October 10 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Review the global release schedule for regional availability. Season 1 begins October 28, introducing new maps, weapons, vehicles, with subsequent updates planned for November 18 and December 9. Additionally, day one patch notes reveal significant gameplay adjustments.
