Bandai Namco has confirmed the closure of PAC-MAN Mobile, a bittersweet moment as the iconic game marks its 45th anniversary this year. The mobile title, which debuted over ten years ago, will soon cease operations.

When Will PAC-MAN Mobile Shut Down?

The service for PAC-MAN Mobile will officially end on May 30, 2025. In-app purchases were halted as of April 1, but players can continue enjoying the game until the final date.

Many fans have voiced frustration over Bandai Namco’s decision to fully discontinue the game rather than offering an offline mode. An offline option could have kept players engaged while generating revenue.

Originally titled PAC-MAN + Tournaments, this version delivered more than classic arcade thrills. Alongside the nostalgic 8-bit arcade mode, it featured a Story Mode with a variety of unique mazes to navigate.

Adventure Mode offered limited-time themed events with exclusive skins, while Tournament Mode included weekly maze challenges across three difficulty levels. The game also boasted customizable skins for PAC-MAN, ghosts, joysticks, and more.

Why Is It Ending?

Over the past few years, the game has faced persistent bugs and technical issues, likely contributing to the decision to shut it down.

During its early years on Android, PAC-MAN Mobile sparked excitement as players competed for high scores and leaderboard rankings, creating a vibrant community.
