What Can You Do After You Finish Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Answered

After completing the main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you can continue to explore the vast open world filled with side content. Finishing the main quest doesn't restrict access to any of these activities, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the rich environment of Feudal Japan.

Additionally, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will introduce new weekly challenges through the Animus post-launch, providing fresh content even after achieving 100% completion.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained

Even after the credits roll, your journey in Assassin’s Creed Shadows may not be over. In my playthrough, the credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for both Yasuke and Naoe. However, to unlock the epilogue and the true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. Following this, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko to achieve the complete ending and earn the associated achievements.

Towards the end of the game, you can also unlock exclusive gear sets themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke. These sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist's playstyle and are a delightful nod to long-time Assassin’s Creed fans.

Moreover, the endgame content allows players to continue progressing beyond the credits up to the game's max level cap.

What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, there's much more to anticipate. New content will be added through the Animus, and the in-game store will likely see updates with new items. Furthermore, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release later in 2025, which will introduce over 10 hours of new content on the Island of Awaji.
