Studio Wildcard has recently shared an exciting update on the content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, outlining nearly two years of upcoming enhancements and additions. Since its early access launch in late November 2023, the remaster of the popular survival crafting game, ARK: Survival Evolved, has been receiving regular updates from the developer.

On January 11, Studio Wildcard, based in Redmond, Washington, released a detailed roadmap that extends until late 2026. The first update on the agenda is a technical patch that will transition ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade is expected to bring significant performance improvements. Additionally, the update will see the reintroduction of support for Nvidia's frame generation, which was previously removed in mid-2024 due to engine issues.

ARK: Survival Ascended Content Roadmap for 2025–2026

The UE5 update will also facilitate Studio Wildcard's ongoing efforts to restructure the game's data, allowing players to download ARK: Survival Ascended DLC packs individually. This approach aims to manage the game's install size more effectively. Following the update, new content is set to arrive in April 2025, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature.

In June 2025, a new premium map will be introduced as paid DLC. More details about this map are expected to be revealed in the coming months, possibly in early spring. Another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature will join the game in August 2025.

Looking ahead to 2026, Studio Wildcard plans to remaster ARK: Survival Evolved's Genesis expansions. Genesis: Part 1 is scheduled for April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August 2026. Both parts will be accompanied by segments of Bob's True Tales, a new content addition announced as part of the game's season pass. A remastered version of the Fjordur map is slated for release as a free update in December 2026. Throughout 2026, the game will see the addition of three more Fantastic Tames.
