Revolutionizing Gaming: AI-Powered Co-Playable Characters Arrive in PUBG and inZOI
CES 2025 has unveiled groundbreaking advancements in mobile gaming, notably Krafton's AI-driven "Co-Playable Character" (CPC) technology, announced January 8th. This innovative concept, debuting in PUBG and inZOI, introduces Non-Playable Characters (NPCs) enhanced with generative AI.
inZOI's implementation, dubbed "Smart Zoi," promises NPCs with distinct personalities and emotional depth, creating more realistic interactions within the simulation.
PUBG's "PUBG Ally" will dynamically adapt its strategies to enhance gameplay, offering a potentially exciting (or unsettling) experience.
Developed in collaboration with NVIDIA ACE, CPCs enable real-time conversations that adjust to evolving game scenarios. “Our partnership with NVIDIA showcases AI's transformative power in gaming; we're committed to pushing creative boundaries,” states Kangwook Lee, Krafton's Deep Learning Division Head.
