Abyss of Dungeons: Dark and Darker Mobile's New Name Revealed
Krafton has officially rebranded Dark and Darker Mobile to Abyss of Dungeons, marking a significant step in distancing themselves from Ironmace Studios and the ongoing legal disputes with Nexon. The core of the legal battle revolves around allegations that Ironmace, founded by former Nexon employees, utilized trade secrets to develop Dark and Darker. As the lawsuit continues, Krafton's decision to rename the mobile version seems to be a strategic move to separate themselves from the controversy.
No differenceThe transition to Abyss of Dungeons primarily affects the title and possibly some elements specific to Dark and Darker. Fortunately, the core gameplay mechanics remain unchanged. Dark and Darker Mobile already introduced significant differences from the original, such as a third-person perspective, and these alterations will persist in Abyss of Dungeons.
While this rebranding might disappoint fans of Ironmace, it's hoped that the legal issues will resolve soon, allowing enthusiasts to enjoy Abyss of Dungeons alongside the PC version of Dark and Darker.
