6 Cartoon Network Games Have Been Delisted

Jan 03,25

Warner Bros. Discovery's sudden removal of several Cartoon Network and Adult Swim games has sparked significant backlash from fans. Without explanation, titles including Steven Universe: Save the Light and Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time have been delisted from digital platforms like Steam and the Nintendo eShop. This digital purge affects at least six games, leaving fans unable to legally purchase these beloved titles.

This action is linked to Warner Bros. Discovery's cost-cutting measures, mirroring previous decisions to shelve films and remove content from streaming services. A similar delisting event occurred in March 2024, targeting Adult Swim games, although public pressure prevented the complete removal of some titles. This time, however, the delistings appear final.

As reported by Wario64 on Twitter, the following games were removed on December 23rd, 2024: Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest, Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games, OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes, Steven Universe: Save the Light, Steven Universe: Unleash the Light, and Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time. Each game's store page displays a message stating its removal from sale.

The following Cartoon Network Games are no longer available:

  • Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest
  • Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games
  • OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes
  • Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time
  • Steven Universe: Save the Light
  • Steven Universe: Unleash the Light

Interestingly, some Cartoon Network games, such as Cartoon Network Journeys VR and Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake, remain available. The soundtrack for OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes is also still for sale. However, Warner Bros. Discovery, Cartoon Network Games, and Adult Swim Games have yet to offer a public explanation for these delistings.

Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest, initially released in April 2014, is the oldest title affected. Other games, like Steven Universe: Save the Light and OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes, launched in 2018, while Steven Universe: Unleash the Light arrived in 2021. The removal of Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, containing the canonical ending to the show's fifth season, has particularly angered fans. The lack of warning and explanation surrounding these delistings has further fueled the controversy.
