Locating Minecraft Chicken Variants

Warm Chickens: These yellow and orange chickens reside in warmer biomes. Look in: Badlands, Bamboo Jungle, Eroded Badlands, Jungle, Savanna, Savanna Plateau, Sparse Jungle, Windswept Savanna, and Wooded Badlands.

Cold Chickens: Sporting blue feathers, these chickens inhabit colder biomes: Old Growth Pine Taiga, Old Growth Spruce Taiga, Snowy Taiga, Taiga, Windswept Forest, Windswept Gravelly Hills, and Windswept Hills.

Temperate Chickens: The classic white chickens, now called Temperate Chickens, appear in all biomes not listed above.

Taming Chickens

Unlike some other Minecraft mobs, chickens aren't traditionally tamed. However, you can lure them with seeds. Simply carry seeds, and the chickens will follow you. Guide them to a secure enclosure. Remember, transporting chickens, especially in Survival mode, can be challenging, so establish checkpoints along the way.

Breeding Chickens

To breed chickens, feed two of the same variant seeds to produce an egg of that type. For a surprise, feed seeds to two different variants – the resulting egg will hatch a random chicken type.
