To connect to a ZeroTier virtual network as a VPN from your phone or tablet, follow these steps:
Download and Install ZeroTier One:
- Visit the Google Play Store on your Android device and search for "ZeroTier One."
- Download and install the app.
Join a ZeroTier Network:
- Open the ZeroTier One app on your device.
- You will be prompted to enter a Network ID. This ID is provided by the network administrator or can be created if you are setting up your own network.
- Enter the Network ID and tap "Join Network."
Authorize the Connection:
- After joining the network, the app will request permission to set up a VPN connection. Tap "OK" to authorize.
- You may also need to grant additional permissions such as location access, which is required for ZeroTier to function properly.
Verify Connection:
- Once connected, you should see the network status change to "OK" within the app, indicating a successful connection.
- You can now use the ZeroTier virtual network as a VPN on your device.
Using ZeroTier:
- ZeroTier creates a peer-to-peer virtual Ethernet network, allowing seamless connectivity across different locations and devices.
- It's an excellent solution for faster alternatives to traditional VPNs, multi-site cloud networking, remote team collaboration, and IoT applications.
