Transform your device into a versatile portable display for your camera, gaming console, laptop, PC, or any other device with HDMI output using an HDMI to USB C dongle, also known as a UVC capture device or Video Capture Card. This is not to be confused with a USB C hub or a USB C to HDMI cable. Additionally, cameras, endoscopes, and microscopes with USB streaming capabilities are fully supported.
Noir enhances your experience with UVC video streaming and UAC audio streaming, offering you a choice between OpenGL ES and Vulkan for the graphics backend. The free version provides essential functions and an immersive experience, albeit with ads (not shown during the preview). Opt for the pro version to unlock additional features and contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of Noir.

FAQ
Why doesn't Noir recognize my device?
Your phone or tablet might not support USB Host (OTG), or the device you're using isn't a Video Capture Card. In some cases, additional power from a USB hub may be required. Why is the preview so laggy?
Lag often results from using the wrong USB version. Ensure your USB 3.0 capture card is connected with a USB 3.0 cable and port. For USB 2.0 capture cards, use MJPEG format and stay within 1080p30fps, though some can handle up to 1080p50fps.Why did my capture card, which was working fine, suddenly fail to connect?
This is typically due to system issues. A simple restart of your phone or tablet can often resolve this. Why does my gaming console or Video playback device show a black screen when connected?
This issue is common with PS5 and PS4 due to HDCP being enabled. Disable HDCP in the PS console settings: Settings -> System -> HDMI. Note that PS3 does not support disabling HDCP. Other devices might also enable HDCP during video playback, causing a black screen. Some HDMI splitters can bypass HDCP, but this solution is not recommended here. Why are resolutions other than 16:9 and 4:3 not supported?
Current capture cards do not support other ratios. Use Noir's Stretch feature to adjust the ratio, ensuring your capture card's EDID supports it and setting your laptop or computer's output resolution accordingly.
