Using Your App and Reader with the Same Sensor

When using the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor, alarms can be received either on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your smartphone, but not simultaneously. To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor using the FreeStyle LibreLink app. Conversely, to receive alarms on your reader, start the sensor with your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader. After starting with the reader, you can still scan the sensor with your phone. Please note that the app and the reader do not share data. To ensure comprehensive data collection, scan your sensor every 8 hours with the same device. You can upload and view data from all your devices on LibreView.com.
